What to bring to your session
Whether you have booked Portraits, Family Photos, or an Engagement session, there are a few things that you can do to make sure your session turns out just the way you imagined it. Read these before your session to make sure you are prepared!
- Clothing
- Comfort
- Make sure to bring clothing that you are comfortable in and can walk a distance in. For some locations, we walk at least 5 minutes on imperfect ground. Some clients like to bring flats and switch into heels for photos and some like to bring a sweater and take it off once photos start.
- Looks
- Make sure all your clothes, accessories, gowns, and stole's are ironed and wrinkle free!
- Colors should compliment the location of the shoot. Feel free to ask me which colors work best for your location!
- Photo Ideas
- Ideas and Poses
- Coming into your session having a good idea of what kind of photos you want makes our session more efficient. Consider saving some photos from Pinterest or Instagram to show me while we walk to our photo destination.
- Props
- Baby photos, Rings, Sentimental items, and other items add a personalized touch to your photos. Graduation students commonly bring baby photos, Future career items, and more. This is not essential but it does make your photos more unique
- Snacks
- Bringing snacks and water to a session is super important especially for sessions with little ones. As we know it's hot in AZ and walking is going to get everyone tired. Nobody liked their picture taken when they are tired and hungry so make sure to bring something to keep everyone happy
- Some clients like to have a drink before our sessions to let loose and feel more comfortable. This will vary by location so please let me know if you plan on drinking before or during the session. This is at your own risk, please drink responsibly
